Benefits of Membership
  • IEC has a national, highly rated apprenticeship program that is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training. This program can provide trained workers to job sites and increase the productivity of the labor force.

  • IEC offers a variety of Journeyman and Contractor continuing education seminars that provide information on better business practices.

  • By having many electrical contractors meet regularly at business meetings, as well as social functions, we encourage an exchange of ideas that can solve common business problems for our members.

  • By working with other trade associations, IEC can create industry coalitions to support or oppose legislation.

  • IEC members network on a national and local level with other contractors and industry suppliers.

  • National and local publications inform members of association and industry activities.

  • IEC membership allows electrical contractors to repay their industry and to reap the intangible benefits of contractor cooperation and upgrading the industry.

  • IEC contractor members receive a free comprehensive safety manual (on disk) as part of their membership.
