Why Choose IEC?

All of our instructors are graduates of the IEC apprenticeship program and have completed the IEC Nationals Instructor Training Program.

Unlike other programs that are written by educators with little-to-no electrical background, our Premier Electrical curriculum is nationally approved and written by electricians for electricians.

Students receive a combination of on-the-job training and classroom training that consists of demonstrations, labs, lectures and homework.

Our dedicated and professional staff is available to assist you with whatever you need as you progress through your program.

You can have your training paid for and work while attending IEC. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while also receiving the education and training needed to become a certified electrician. This type of arrangement can be beneficial for both the employer and the employee, as it can create a win-win situation where the employee gains skills and knowledge while the employer receives a skilled and trained worker. Additionally, having your training paid for can help reduce the financial burden of attending school, making it a more accessible option for those who may not have the resources to pursue education otherwise.
When you graduate from IEC, you will have the opportunity to earn a salary with opportunities for growth and advancement right away. Electricians are well-paid professionals, and the outlook for the job market is positive. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for electricians was $56,900 as of May 2020. Additionally, with the growing demand for renewable energy and the need to upgrade electrical systems in existing buildings, the job outlook for electricians is expected to increase by 8% from 2020 to 2030, which is faster than the average for all occupations.
