Additionally, our electrician training programs are designed to meet the growing demand for electricians in Indiana and help anyone who wants to learn to be an electrician or is pursuing a career path in the electrical field, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed to be an electrician, from foundational knowledge to advanced techniques that are crucial in today’s electrical trade.
Through our highly-rated Apprentice Program, employees can train to become an electrician, earning their Journeyman/Journeywoman electrician certification. These certifications open doors to greater job opportunities and higher earning potential, making it easier for members to find success in the electrical contractors industry. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of individuals at all stages of their careers, from those becoming an apprentice electrician to those already working as an electrician and seeking further development.

IEC Indy’s influence continues to grow. We represent more than 45 member companies and train more new apprentices each year than ever before. About the National IEC
IEC Indy is an affiliate chapter of the national Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) association. National IEC has been the voice for independent electrical contractors for more than 65 years. Through its efforts, the industry has steadily progressed on the national and local fronts. National IEC currently has more than 3,500 members, 50 chapters nationwide and is training over 14,000 apprentices.
In addition to these resources, National IEC is committed to creating job opportunities for its members. By providing access to valuable networking events, job boards, and career-building resources, the organization helps electricians find full-time work that aligns with their career goals. With so many pathways available, members can choose a career path that suits their interests, whether they aspire to become a master electrician or specialize in niche areas of the electrical trade.
