The Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) is proud to announce that upon graduation, IEC Apprentices from Indiana IEC chapters will receive 28 and 32 credit hours, respectively, from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana for two customized degree pathways; the Building Construction Management Pathway and the Building Construction Technology Pathway.
The staff at Central Indiana IEC have worked in partnership with Ivy Tech to create this innovative program. The IEC Electrical Apprenticeship graduates successfully completing the four-year training program are awarded a Certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship. This Certificate translates into PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) credit for the IEC graduates after being admitted to Ivy Tech Community College. The recognized credits will apply towards the Interdisciplinary Industrial Workforce Certificate (CT), Interdisciplinary Industrial Workforce Technical Certificate (TC) and the Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS).
Ivy Tech Community College has 40 locations in Indiana that any IEC graduate can attend for two Customized Degree Pathways starting with 2018 graduates.
