Steven J. Owen is an Electrical Consultant with National Code Seminars. The course is designed to allow active participation in the importance and use of the National Electrical Code and will include;

• how to size conductors for specific applications;
• how to correctly select overcurrent devices;
• how to correctly specify and select raceways;
• how to use the NEC in practical application in the workplace

About the Speaker:

Steven J. Owen has been active in the electrical industry for over 42 years. Starting as an Apprentice Electrician; working up to Superintendent, Project Manager, Electrical Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer & Chief Electrical Code Analyst. Steve has worked on projects ranging from one-person operations to projects in which he was responsible for the supervision of 550 electricians, and an electrical budget of $25 million.

Steve is certified as a Master Electrician and/or Electrical Contractor in 40 states; as a National Electrical Code Instructor for 34 states; as an OSHA authorized General Industry & Construction instructor for 10 & 30 hour classes; as an OSHA Outreach instructor for OTI-3095A Electrical Standards & EST-7005 NFPA 70E Electrical Safety for Georgia Tech and North Carolina State Univ; as an LPI Lightning Protection Designer & Inspector; as an Electrical Inspector by IAEI: Steve is a principal voting member of National Electrical Code Panel #3.
